About Petrifern
Petrifern is a BSL-1 certified ornamental plant tissue culture laboratory based in Dahina, Rewari, Haryana — the only facility of its kind at commercial scale in India.
We propagate seven high-value ornamental species under strict biosafety protocols, producing disease-free, genetically uniform plantlets for nurseries, exporters, and institutional growers across India and beyond.
Founded by an IIT Delhi biotechnology graduate and co-directed by a PhD-qualified plant biotechnologist specialising in orchid and aroid TC propagation.

Mother cultures sourced from ICAR-licensed research centres or certified international breeders. Every explant is pathogen-verified before entering the BSL-1 production environment.
Propagation under 35 LAF workstations using species-specific sterile media. Dual 70TR chiller units maintain optimal culture temperature around the clock.
100% visual inspection at every sub-culture stage. Full batch traceability — species identity, mother source, passage number, and contamination rate — on every production lot.
Structured acclimatisation in controlled hardening chambers. Domestic delivery to verified buyers; exports via phytosanitary-certified cold-chain packaging.
Our Facility
Our BSL-1 certified campus in Dahina, Rewari, Haryana is designed from the ground up for export-grade ornamental tissue culture — every specification chosen to meet international biosafety standards.
1,300 sqm of certified lab space, 35 Laminar Air Flow workstations, dual 70-Tonne Refrigeration chiller units, and a climate-controlled growth room holding 3.6 lakh jars. A compactor shelving system accommodates up to 15 lakh jars in parallel storage.

Founder & CEO
Rajat founded Petrifern combining an IIT Delhi biotechnology education with deep roots in commercial plant trade. Co-owner of Shri Ganga Ram Nursery — a 25-year-old established nursery business — he brings both the scientific rigour and the commercial buyer network that give Petrifern its unique competitive edge from day one.

Dr. Krishna Vyas Soni brings publication-grade scientific rigour to every production batch at Petrifern's BSL-1 facility. His PhD specialisation in orchid and aroid tissue culture propagation underpins the lab's protocols for all seven species — ensuring genetic fidelity, contamination control, and consistent quality at commercial scale.
